# PrivacySafe Downloads

Official software download host for PrivacySafe:

PrivacySafe is Free/Libre and Open Source Software for private communication and
storage, stewarded by the nonprofit PrivacySafe Foundation, Inc. and published
commercially by Ivy Cyber LLC. It provides encrypted chat, peer-to-peer voice and
video calls, and encrypted storage. No phone number is required to sign up.

## Download channels

- `latest`: current stable/recommended builds.
- `test`: pre-release testing builds.
- `nightly`: frequently updated development builds.

## Platforms and architecture names

- Windows `.exe`: `x64`, `arm64`. When only one architecture is published, the
  clean JavaScript shortcut may omit architecture.
- Android `.apk`: `x86_64`, `armeabi-v7a`, `arm64-v8a`. When only one architecture
  is published, the clean JavaScript shortcut may omit architecture.
- macOS `.dmg`: `x86_64`, `arm64`; the user-facing label for arm64 is `M Series`.
- GNU/Linux AppImage: `x86_64`, `aarch64`.
- Debian packages: `amd64`, `arm64`.

Directory pages generate bold quick-download links from the newest matching
versioned installer in the directory. Existing alias-named files or symlinks do
not control the generated row: the raw alias entry is suppressed and the shortcut
is regenerated from the newest versioned installer. The generated row uses the
selected file's real date and file size and points directly to that versioned file
while suggesting a clean channel-based filename with the HTML `download` attribute.
